LIMECUT & NQEA – A SUCCESSFUL RELATIONSHIP

Limecut Commercial Interiors’ relationship with NQEA and its wholly owned subsidiary Cairns Slipways, has germinated through multiple marine based projects ranging from semi-submersible submarines to commercial high speed passenger ferries to Superyachts.

Such projects have requested the utilization of Limecut’s professionalism to liaise directly with complex clients to understand their unique, and in the case of Superyachts extremely personal requests, and transform these requests into novel and distinctive design solutions.

NQEA’s most recent delivery, a 63m SOLAS compliant cruise ship, had its interiors features designed and specified by Limecut. NQEA in its own right has delivered in excess of 225 vessels and is Australia’s longest established and most diversified shipbuilder.

Limecut’s solutions are delivered competently, and with due regard for the manufacturing processes and materials which are required to realize effective designs. Timelines of deliverables from Limecut, has been for NQEA, a very significant and favorable
attribute of their service.

Numerous suppliers and manufacturers in our local, but internationally recognized Superyacht industry cluster based in Cairns, support the delivery of complete design, construct and refit capacity, which is unsurpassed in Australia.  Limecut has played a
key role in delivery of such well recognized services.

Limecut’s professionalism and proven deliveries in this regional but internationally recognized marine centre will ensure that additional projects by both NQEA and Cairns Slipways, will demand the services of Limecut.

CAIRNS AIRPORT

Limecut has been engaged by Cairns Airport as part of our Furniture, Fittings and Equipment design consultancy team involved in the redevelopment of the Cairns
Domestic Terminal.

Limecut has provided expertise in the special planning in the departure lounge, co-ordination and the placement of seating as well as the unique design of the fabric
used for the seating throughout the terminals.

Limecut has proven capable of meeting deadlines on this project while at the same time displaying the creative ability to provide a design that is innovative, practical and meets Cairn’s Airport’s requirements.

It is envisaged that Limecut will be involved in further aspects of the Cairns Domestic Terminal redevelopment as the project progresses.
